Anyone know how to change the preferences in InDesign so that you do not have to hold down shift when scaling a photo or shapes to make it so that it scales it proportionately?

You no longer have to hold down shift in Photoshop, would love to make this the case in InDesign and Illustrator too!

  • Click the chain lock icon to constrain proportions for the image? You still have to do that for each image, so it may not be a better solution depending on your situation. – Janus Bahs Jacquet Oct 30 '20 at 16:58
  • Chain lock icon + Auto-Fit maybe, will scale proportionally, but you still need to hold Shift if using mouse dragging. This works, but only if you type in numeric values for the resize or use arrows inside the width/height boxes. Hope this makes sense :) – Lucian Oct 30 '20 at 18:34
