I downloaded a mock-up publication PSD from the internet to display a publication I made. I want to resize it down so I placed one page which is a jpeg into the document so I could use it as a guide to scale down the publication.

I then double clicked one of the pages which is a smart object and it opened a new window. I then placed the jpeg spread into the page assuming because I had scaled it down that it would be resized however the scale hasn't changed.

I am not sure whether it is just easier to scale the page spreads to the size of the mock-up instead of the other way round?

  • Difficult to answer... it's pretty hard to know what you feel its supposed to look like. The purpose of smart objects is to have their scale set, so when you replace SO content, the original SO scale is maintained. So... again, had to answer with the information you've provided.
