I need to design posters in Illustrator CS6. I added several PNGs with a transparent background to the artboard. After exporting it for print (PDF/x-3, 2002), there are white frames around several objects. They are definitely not in the program itself and only appear after the export. What am I doing wrong?white frame 1white frame

  • These are just conflation errors on the on screen preview. Dont affect print. Your not doing anything wrong your pdf viewer is.

  • @jooja Thanks! Are you really sure? Don't want to have these lines in print and other see them too in their viewer! Oct 13 at 14:30
  • Note that using a transparent raster in a format that must be transparency free just makes your life unneceserily complicated. Zoom in if the line has a width thats changes then its not a conflation artifact. You can ask for a proof of the rip output too.

  • What software are you using to view the finished PDF? I can't reproduce this problem using Adobe Reader to view such an image created in Illustrator.
