Inkscape: How to automatically remove background and export to PDF

Question

I frequently export plots which I generated in MATLAB to PDF files, which I then would like to use in LaTeX. However, MATLAB always puts two white backgrounds to every export. So in order to fix this, I use Inkscape. There are always the same 3 steps for every picture:

1. Remove both white backgrounds.
2. Use the button “Resize Page to drawing or selection”.
3. Export as PDF.

I am losing my mind to do this every single time. Is there a way to automate this task under Windows? I can also upload a sample PDF file, but apparently StackExchange does not support that.
