Does anyone recognize this bold serif font?

Question

If anyone could help identity this bold serif font, it would help tremendously.

'Confessions of an advertising insider' written in the font

The font and style look quite a lot like the font in the "Goodfellas" film poster - Bodoni I think (this is slightly less bold). It might well be based on that style. — user56reinstatemonica8, May 28, 2014 at 16:40

Arsis was originally released in 1939 by Linotype, so probably it was a prototype for the font in question:

Thanks to WhatTheFont.com, it looks like it is the Onyx typeface.
