I am new to this spot, so I would firstly appreciate your patience.

I am a design student, and soon-to-be graduate, and although, sometimes I really enjoy and like my work, other times I detest it.

I suffer from bouts of depression and I am very much a perfectionist, it becomes hard to accurately judge my own work- in terms of the 'professionalism', and as a result I often feel my work is not up to par.

I feel the transition from student to pro level will be difficult- and with this being said I would like some critique for my personal logo identity.

Something is amiss... This logo will go on my business card and possibly other promo things in order to allow me to present myself professionally.

In relation to the actual piece, I want a general review- I designed with the theme of elegance in mind, I want to portray myself as a fresh, young but old-school designer that has an appreciation for crisp, clean design, though isn't afraid to go wild.

Do you think the typography represents this persona, how about the positioning? I really want to get it right...

For the moment it is b&w, but will add colour once i get crits from people.
