Andrew J. Chambers (J-D3V)

Have extra work you need help with?

I am always looking for the next job, and might be able to help. Currently I am in school for computer science, I write a lot of open-source modules, plug-ins, & extensions.

If you need help with any of the following, I can always use some help with paying my bills.
  • NPM Module (TS/JS) (ESM/CJS)
  • Node.js server or CLI (TS/JS) (ESM/CJS)
  • Frontend Project (TS/JS/CSS/HTML/SVG)
  • VS Code Extensions (TM Grammars & TS)
  • Icon &/or Font design (SVG/OTF)
  • Scalable Web-animations (TS/JS & SVG)

The one thing I am missing from my toolbox is a frontend framework. I personally like building the systems that I work in. Often I will write my own libraries, frameworks, parser, and even Grammars for compiling templated HTML (like handlebars or pug). I played with vue and didn't like it 2BH, but I did like TSX/React when I used it. Really I like to write code that defines how code in a system is to be written, in other-words, I like to design the system (which isn't always financially fee sable) but I feel like frameworks rob me of that. I also feel like designing a system myself always me to create a more robust system, and I can test and fix things that I might otherwise have to rely on the framework maintainers to fix. That's just my opinion, but I would happily write a frontend using a framework if someone hired me to. As for the backend, I use frameworks like express often.

Andrew & Programming

Currently I write a lot of ECMAS stuff, TypeScript & Node.js mostly. My first programming language was C++, I also took a few Java classes. Due to learning C++ & Java out the gate, I took to TypeScript well, as they are all heavily focused on OOP & the "Class" rather than a procedural sort of concept.

Currently I am learning "RUST" just because I love having a compiler, which is also one of the reasons that I really love TS (the ts compiler tsc is so ellegant IMO, not only is it versatile, but its jam packed with all sorts of bonus features). Anyways, onto rust I go.
